About King’s Help Organisation
King’s Help Organisation is a registered Community-Based Organisation operating in Wakiso District, Central Uganda.
We exist to bring hope and transformation to vulnerable children, youth, and families through education, healthcare, economic empowerment, child protection, and Christian discipleship.
Guided by love, compassion, and faith, we work alongside communities to restore dignity, strengthen families, and inspire lasting change.
In 2021 just after the lock-down due Covid-19, several community members were unable to access the basic needs as some had lost their jobs, used up their small business funds, while others we still battling with different illnesses and could not work. So a group of four ethuthiastic, dynamic and like-minded people of the same faith got together to establish an organization, for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of the people of Wakiso. True to this spirit the organization was named “King’s Help Organisation”.
Considering their association with the church, the group was cognizant of the plethora of problems plaguing the surrounding villages. Consequently, the organization’s focus was not kept limited either in in terms of geography or sector. Whilst operating in different villages of the district, King’s Help Organisation has been carrying a range of interventions in the areas of education, health & hygiene, youth & women empowerment, community physical infrastructure, environmental conservation, etc.
The type of activities undertaken by the organization range from capacity building to service delivery, with focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterizes King’s Help Organisation’s functioning are its efforts to (a) enlist involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass root level; and (b) mobilize women for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society.
Although a somewhat new entry in the development arena, King’s Help Organisation – owing to the linkages of its members with national & international funding agencies – enjoys a diverse portfolio, characterized by partnership with organizations like Crane Network, CEFOVID, Ministry of Human Rights & Rural Development Department, Government of Uganda, Ministry of Education and Sports.
